 Bachelor of Education (Primary)

Entry requirements:

  1. Submission of an Application Form (Include an autobiography for 4th year students)
  2. Two letters of recommendation (personal and academic)
  3. Interview with the Programme Director/ or delegate
  4. At least one of the following entry levels supported by official documentation:
    1. 1st year entry: Passes in at least five CXC/GCE subjects including English and Mathematics.
    2.  4th year entry: A tertiary level accredited diploma (at least 100 credits) from a recognised/registered institution.

The B.Ed. is ordinarily a four-year full-time programme which can be taken as part-time evening over 4-6 years. However, at this time, students may graduate with a Diploma in Primary Education after 3 years full-time or 4-6 years part-time study.

    1.  4th year entry: A tertiary level accredited diploma (at least 100 credits) from a recognised/registered institution.

Programme Summary: (a Minimum of 40 credits is required for a post- 3 year Diploma candidate)
