Certificate in Guidance and Counselling (Evening)

Entry requirements:

1.       Submission of an Application Form (Includes an autobiography requirement)

2.       Two letters of recommendation (personal and academic)

3.       Assessment in English

4.       Interview with the Programme Director/ or delegate

5.       At least one of the following entry levels supported by official documentation:

1.       Five CXC/GCE Subjects including English & Mathematics

2.       General Courses maybe required as pre-requisites to the programme.

Programme Outline (summary):

This programme is presented in three Modules, Guidance & Counselling I, II, and III, over two semesters and a summer session.

Module I focuses on the self; improving self knowledge, developing ways of coping with depression and stress in everyday life.

Module II provides a study of three psychologists using the methodology of individual research and writing together with class discussion.

 Module III takes the content of Modules I and II to greater depth. It involves application and use of a grading system.
